The Couzens Bay is an ice-filled, fjord-like , approximately 15 km long bay in the Antarctic Ross Dependency . It lies on the west side of the Ross Ice Shelf between Senia Point and Cape Goldschmidt on the Shackleton Coast .
Participants in a campaign carried out from 1960 to 1961 as part of the New Zealand Geological Survey Antarctic Expedition named them after Lieutenant Thomas Couzens (1931-1959) of the Royal New Zealand Air Force who fell into a crevasse at Cape Selborne on November 19 1959 died.
