Ryan Anthony Guzman (born September 21, 1987 in Abilene , Texas ) is an American actor .

life and career

Ryan Guzman was born to a Mexican and an American of European descent. In his youth he moved to his mother's hometown, Sacramento , California. He attended the "Sierra College" in Rocklin . Guzman earned money as a model until 2012, before playing the lead role alongside Kathryn McCormick in the 3D dance film Step Up: Miami Heat in 2012 . Other films followed, including a. the comedy Ladies' Man: A Made Movie; and the drama Beyond Paradise .

Since 2013, Guzman played a supporting role in nine episodes in the series Pretty Little Liars . He also appeared in front of the camera in 2015 for the thriller The Boy Next Door . In the Jason Blum- produced film, Guzman plays a threatening teenager who starts an affair with his neighborhood teacher, played by Jennifer Lopez . The film was released in US cinemas in January 2015 and in Germany in March 2015.

From September 2015 to January 2016, Guzman played the former soldier Carlos Gutierrez in the miniseries Heroes Reborn .
