Konrad von Sydow

Konrad Anton Wilhelm von Sydow (born October 28, 1853 in Dobberphul , † December 1, 1929 in Stolzenfelde ) was a German lawyer and politician.

family

Konrad von Sydow came from the Brandenburg nobility of the Sydow family . His parents were the landowner on Stolzenfelde, Wilhelm Karl von Sydow (1823–1907) and Antonie, geb. von Heyden (1826–1908).

Konrad von Sydow married the later writer Margarethe, born in 1890 . von Weiß (1869–1945). The couple remained childless.

The district administrator and Westphalian consistorial president Günther von Sydow was his brother.

Life

Konrad von Sydow attended high school in Wernigerode . He studied in Bonn Jura , where he was in 1875 a member of the Corps Borussia . He worked as a court assistant and government assistant at the district government in Poznan before he was appointed district administrator for the district of Bytom in 1887 . He remained in this post until 1892. He then managed his father's manor Stolzenfelde. Appointed chamberlain in 1902 , he was appointed to the Prussian manor house in 1905 to present the Neumark (Soldin) landscape district . Sydow belonged to the manor house until it was closed in 1918.
