Kathryn McCormick

Kathryn McCormick (born July 7, 1990 in Augusta , Georgia ) is an American dancer and actress .

life and career

McCormick started dancing in her mother's dance studio at the age of three. As a young girl she won various tap and jazz dance competitions. As a teenager she started dancing ballet.

She moved to Los Angeles at the age of 18 and got her first role in the 2009 remake of Fame . In the same year she took part in the 6th season of the TV show So You Think You can Dance on the Fox channel and reached 3rd place there. In the following seasons she had appearances as an all star.

In the meantime, she was seen as a dancer at the 2010 Academy Awards and in Christina Perri's music video for Jar of Hearts .

In 2011 Kathryn McCormick worked as a motivational speaker on "The Revolve Tour". In the same year she received her first leading role in the film Step Up: Miami Heat .
