Tim Minear
Tim Minear (born October 29, 1963 in New York ) is an American screenwriter and television director .
Minear was born in New York and grew up in Whittier, California. He studied film at California State University, Long Beach.
Minear was an assistant director for the film Platoon , and has written episodes for various television series, including the X-Files - The FBI's Scary Cases and Superman - The Adventures of Lois & Clark . He later became executive producer, scriptwriter, and directed episodes of Strange World , Angel , Firefly , Wonderfalls and The Inside , the series he co-created with Howard Gordon .
Minear developed his own series, Drive , which in 2007 was discontinued at Fox after four episodes.
Often Minear works with Joss Whedon .
