Aisha Hinds (* 13. November 1975 in Brooklyn , New York City ) is an American actress .

life and career

Aisha Hinds was born in November 1975 in the New York borough of Brooklyn and grew up there. She first attended Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School for the Visual and Performing Arts, and then graduated from the University of Miami with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theater . During her time at university, she appeared in the musicals Anything Goes as Reno Sweeney and in Mame as Agnes Gooch . She then completed additional studies at The American Theater of Harlem, where she appeared in the plays Fences and Nacht, Mutter, among others.

Her first television appearance was in 2003 in the children 's series Blue’s Clues , before she did a two-part guest role in the tenth season of the crime series New York Cops - NYPD Blue in the same year . In 2004 she made a guest role in Emergency Room and starred as Annie Price in the third season of The Shield in a recurring supporting role. In addition to a leading role in the short film Love Aquarium (2004), she played the supporting role of the petty criminal Anna in 2005 in Jean-François Richets Das Ende - Assault on Precinct 13 alongside Ethan Hawke and Laurence Fishburne .
