Saint-Martin-le-Vieux ( Occitan : Sent Martin lu Vielh ) is a French village with 922 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Haute-Vienne in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine . Saint-Martin-le-Vieux belongs to the arrondissement of Limoges and is part of the canton of Aixe-sur-Vienne . The inhabitants are called Saintmartinois .

Saint-Martin-le-Vieux is about 19 kilometers southwest of Limoges . Saint-Martin-le-Vieux is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Séreilhac in the north and west, Aixe-sur-Vienne in the north and northeast, Beynac in the east and northeast, Burgnac in the east and southeast, Lavignac in the south and Flavignac in the west and southwest.
The community is located on Via Lemovicensis , one of the four historic " Way of the Pilgrims in France ".
