Beynac ( Occitan : Beinac ) is a municipality with 693 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the French department of Haute-Vienne in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine . Beynac is part of the canton of Aixe-sur-Vienne in the arrondissement of Limoges . The inhabitants are called Beynacois .

geography

Beynac is located about 17 kilometers southwest of Limoges . The Vienne river forms the northern boundary of the municipality. Beynac is surrounded by the neighboring communities Isle in the north, Bosmie-l'Aiguille in the east, Burgnac in the south and south-east, Saint-Martin-le-Vieux in the west and south-west and Aixe-sur-Vienne in the west and north-west.
