Sanxay is a French commune of 548 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the department of Vienne in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine ; it belongs to the arrondissement of Poitiers and the canton of Lusignan . The inhabitants are called Sanxéens .
geography
Sanxay is located about 22 kilometers west-southwest of Poitiers on the Vonne . Sanxay is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Les Forges in the north, Boivre-la-Vallée with Benassay in the north and north-east, Curzay-sur-Vonne in the east, Rouillé in the south and south-east, Saint-Germier in the south and south-west, Ménigoute in the west and Vasles in the north-west.
