It has 1,109 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) and is part of the canton of Vivonne (until 2015: canton of La Villedieu-du-Clain ) in the Arrondissement of Poitiers . The inhabitants are called Aslonnois .

geography

Aslonnes is about 18 kilometers south of Poitiers on the Clain , which borders the municipality to the west. Aslonnes is surrounded by the neighboring communities Roches-Prémarie-Andillé in the north and northeast, La Villedieu-du-Clain in the east and northeast, Gizay in the east, Marnay in the south, Château-Larcher in the south and southwest, Vivonne in the west and Iteuil in the northwest .
