Madone is an Italian commune in the province of Bergamo in the Lombardy region with 4083 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019).

geography

Madone is located eleven kilometers southwest of the provincial capital Bergamo and 35 km northeast of the metropolis of Milan.

The neighboring communities are Bonate Sotto , Bottanuco , Chignolo d'Isola and Filago .

From 1927 to 1947 it was united with Chignolo d'Isola to form the municipality of Centrisola .

Attractions

  • The parish church of San Giovanni Battista was built between 1911 and 1925. It also contains numerous works from the old parish church, which dates from the 14th century.
