Schilpario is a municipality in the province of Bergamo in Lombardy, northern Italy . It borders the provinces of Brescia and Sondrio . In the Bergamasque dialect of the Lombard language , the place is called Schülpér , otherwise Schilpér . The place is part of the Comunità Montana di Scalve and is about 65 kilometers away from Bergamo .
The place was important even in the heyday of Rome. There were iron and zinc deposits here.
