Ardesio is an Italian municipality ( comune ) with 3428 inhabitants (December 31, 2019) in the Bergamo province , Region Lombardy .

The municipality includes the fractions of Albareti , Ave , Babes , Bani , Botto Alto , Cacciamali , Carpignolo Ponte Seghe , Cerete , Ludrigno , More Marinoni , Piazzolo , Rizzolo , Valcanale , Valle , Valzella , and Zanetti . The neighboring municipalities of Ardesios are Branzi , Gromo , Oltre il Colle , Oltressenda Alta , Parre , Premolo , Roncobello , Valgoglio and Villa d'Ogna .

Events

• On the last Sunday of January there is a goat and donkey exhibition in Ardesio. At this exhibition all goat and donkey species are presented. At the end of the event, the most beautiful goat will be chosen.
• “La scasada dol zenerù” stands for saying goodbye to the cold season. A doll representing winter is burned in the town hall.
• The anniversary of the apparition of Mary is celebrated on June 23. Two girls are said to have seen the Virgin Mary in the village in 1607. During the day there is a procession through the place with a statue of Mary.
