history

The origins of the city go back to Roman times . The first residents settled along a road that led south from Bergamo and passed Treviglio and Piacenza . Until the end of the Roman Empire, a fortified village emerged.

During the 12th century, the Ghibellines built a castle south of the town that shaped Castel Rozzone for a long time. In 1523 the church of San Bernardo was consecrated, the exterior of which has remained unchanged.

In the second half of the 20th century the place lost its agricultural character and developed into a small industrial center.
