history
The name San Pellegrino refers to an early Christian bishop of Auxerre and martyr († 304), to whom the parish church was consecrated in the 8th century. The place was pretty isolated until the 16th century when a driveway was built. At the end of the 18th century the place developed into a thermal bath thanks to its mineral springs with a temperature of 26 ° C. Important facilities were built in Liberty style at the beginning of the 20th century: the bathing facilities, the casino and the Grand Hotel.
1906 to 1966 the place was accessible through the Ferrovia Valle Brembana .
Mineral water
The S. Pellegrino mineral water is bottled in San Pellegrino Terme .
