Fonteno is a municipality in the province of Bergamo in the Italian region of Lombardy with 565 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019).

Fonteno is located 30 km northeast of the provincial capital Bergamo and 70 km northeast of the metropolis of Milan.

The neighboring municipalities are Adrara San Rocco , Endine Gaiano , Monasterolo del Castello , Parzanica , Riva di Solto , Solto Collina and Vigolo .

Attractions

  • The parish church of Santi Faustino e Giovita from 1542, which is kept in the Gothic style. The steeple was replaced by a new tower in 1827, which was raised in 1930 to bring it in line with the main building.
