Ranzanico is an Italian city with 1230 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019) in the province of Bergamo in Lombardy .

Location and dates

Ranzanico is located about 33 km east of Bergamo on the left bank of Lake Endine . The neighboring municipalities are Bianzano , Endine Gaiano , Gandino , Monasterolo del Castello , Peia and Spinone al Lago .

The place was first mentioned in a document in 830.

Attractions

The church was built in 1476 and renovated in the 18th century. She dedicated to Santa Maria Assunta . Inside there are paintings by the painters Palma il Giovane , Enea Salmeggia , Antonio Cifrondi and Vincenzo Angelo Orelli .
