Chignolo d'Isola is a municipality in the province of Bergamo in the Italian region of Lombardy with 3448 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019).

Chignolo d'Isola is located eleven km southwest of the provincial capital Bergamo and 35 km northeast of the metropolis of Milan.

The neighboring communities are Bonate Sopra , Bonate Sotto , Bottanuco , Madone , Medolago , Suisio and Terno d'Isola .

From 1927 to 1947 she was united with Madone to form the municipality of Centrisola .

Attractions

• The Palazzo Roncalli was built by a noble family in the 17th century and restored in the 19th century.

• The parish church of San Pietro was built between 1873 and 1885, but was not consecrated until 1901. There are numerous valuable paintings inside the church.
