Vigano San Martino is a northern Italian municipality ( comune ) with 1349 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019) in the province of Bergamo in Lombardy . The municipality, located in Val Cavallina , is crossed by the Strada Statale 42 and the Cherio river. Vigano San Martino is located about 23 kilometers east-northeast of the provincial capital Bergamo .

From 1928 to 1947 it was united with Berzo San Fermo , Borgo di Terzo and Grone to form the municipality of Borgounito .
