Lovere is an Italian municipality with 5182 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019) in the province of Bergamo in ( Lombardy ) on Lake Iseo and is a member of the association I borghi più belli d'Italia (The Most Beautiful Places in Italy).

Attractions

The Church of Santa Maria was built in 1473. Among other things, it contains paintings by Floriano Ferramola from Brescia.

Infrastructure and economy

The Lucchini RS company operates the steelworks that went into operation in 1856 on the Lovere peninsula . A train ferry for freight trains offered from 1907 to 1999 a direct connection of the plant site to the railway Palazzolo-Paratico .
