Calusco d'Adda is a municipality in the province of Bergamo in the Italian region of Lombardy with 8310 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019).

Calusco d'Adda is 14 km west of the provincial capital Bergamo and 35 km northeast of the metropolis of Milan .

The neighboring municipalities are Carvico , Medolago , Paderno d'Adda ( LC ), Robbiate (LC), Solza , Terno d'Isola and Villa d'Adda .

Attractions

The old parish church of San Fedele is one of the most interesting places in the municipality of Calusco d'Adda. The church was expanded again and again between the 11th and 17th centuries. Although it is a civil building today, it still contains numerous frescoes , among others. a. by the Italian painter Antonio Cifrondi.

The new parish church was built in the 19th century and contains u. a. Works that were previously in the old parish church.

There is also the church of Santa Maria Bambina in the district of Vanzone, from the 13th century. Inside there are works of great value.

The church of Santa Maria Assunta, in the district of Baccanello, was built in the 16th century and was the site of a monastery and is adorned with numerous works, including the paintings by Francesco Zucchi.

The Ponte San Michele is made entirely of iron. It is located 85 meters above the Adda River and is used for rail and road traffic.
