Valtorta (in the local dialect Altòrta ) is a northern Italian municipality ( comune ) with 261 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019) in the province of Bergamo in Lombardy . The place is located in Val Stabino a little off the Val Brembana about 50 kilometers from the provincial capital Bergamo on the border with the province of Lecco and the province of Sondrio .

A cable car leads from Valtorta to the Piani di Bobbio ( Valsassina ) ski area .
