Santa Maria Assunta Church

Valgoglio is a northern Italian municipality ( comune ) with 595 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019) in the province of Bergamo in Lombardy . The municipality is located about 44 kilometers north of the provincial capital Bergamo .

The name is derived from the Goglio mountain stream , which cuts its way into the Val Seriana here in the Bergamasque Alps .
