Gromo is an Italian municipality in the province of Bergamo in Lombardy with 1195 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019) and is a member of the association I borghi più belli d'Italia (“The most beautiful places in Italy”).

geography

Gromo is located 35 km northeast of the provincial capital Bergamo and 80 km northeast of the metropolis of Milan.

The neighboring municipalities are Ardesio , Gandellino , Oltressenda Alta , Valbondione , Valgoglio and Vilminore di Scalve .

Attractions

There are two castles in the village. One is owned by the local Ginami family and has a tower. Nowadays there is a restaurant inside. There is also a smaller castle.

The village church of San Giacomo e Vincenzo dates from the 14th century. In this there are valuable frescoes.
