Patrizio Gambirasio (born January 23, 1961 in Calusco d'Adda , Bergamo province ) is a former Italian cyclist . He was a professional from 1983 to 1989.
Athletic career
In 1981 he won the Gran Premio di Carnago as an amateur. The following year he was successful at the Coppa Fiera di Mercatale and at Milan-Busseto . He was able to win the 5th stage of the peace ride and is 53rd overall.
In 1983 he started his professional career at Gis-Gelati . In the first few years he could not celebrate any success. In 1985 he was third on the 9th stage of the Giro d'Italia . In 1986 he finished eighth on the 11th and 18th stages of the Giro d'Italia . In 1987 he finished fifth at the Coppa Bernocchi . In 1988 he celebrated his biggest and only professional victory on the 17th stage of the Giro d'Italia . He ended his professional career after the 1989 season.
