Ossimo is a northern Italian municipality ( comune ) with 1530 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019) in the province of Brescia in Lombardy . The municipality is located about 45.5 kilometers north of Brescia in Valcamonica and belongs to the Comunità Montana di Valle Camonica .

history

The archaeological finds of Roman funerary inscriptions indicate that the fertile area was used by the Romans very early on. The place was first mentioned in 950 as a Ussium .
