Cellatica is an Italian commune with 4879 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019) in the province of Brescia (BS), Lombardy region . The municipality gives its name to the wine of the same name.

The neighboring municipalities are Brescia , Collebeato , Concesio and Gussago .

Wine

The red wine of the same name with a protected designation of origin ( DOC ) is produced here. The wine must consist of at least 30% Marzemino (Berzemino), at least 30% Barbera , at least 10% Schiava Grossa (= Vernatsch) and at least 10% Incrocio Terzi N. 1 . A maximum of 10% of other red grape varieties approved for cultivation in the Lombardy region may be added. Cultivation is permitted in Cellatica and in the surrounding municipalities of Rodengo-Saiano , Gussago , Collebeato and Brescia in the province of Brescia. The denomination has been around since 1968; it was updated on March 7, 2014.
