Abborrträsk is a small town (Swedish småort ) in the municipality of Arvidsjaur in the south of the historic Swedish province of Lapland . It is located on the lake Abborrträsket in the valley of the river Byske älv 18 kilometers southeast of the village Arvidsjaur .

The Silberweg , a tourist route from the Gulf of Bothnia to the Atlantic , leads through the town, founded in 1610 .
