Castenedolo is a northern Italian municipality ( comune ) with 11,571 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019) in the province of Brescia in Lombardy . The municipality is located about 9 kilometers southeast of Brescia . The Garza flows near the municipality .
Economy and Transport
The former connection of the overland tram from Brescia to Mantua also stopped in Castenedolo until 1952. Today the municipality is crossed by the former Strada Statale 236 Goitese , now just a provincial road, which in north-south direction also connects to the A4 autostrada from Turin to Venice and Trieste as well as to Strada Statale 11 Padana Superiore . Brescia-Montichiari Airport is less than 4 kilometers southwest of Castenedolo .
