Cigole is a northern Italian municipality ( comune ) with 1524 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019) in the province of Brescia in Lombardy . The municipality is located about 26 kilometers south of Brescia .

history

The community was founded in the 12th century and mentioned as Ceole . The castle complex was built in the 13th century. In 1432 the village passed to the Duke of Milan.
