Manerba del Garda is an Italian municipality with 5414 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019) in the province of Brescia in Lombardy .

Manerba del Garda is located on the southwestern shore of Lake Garda . The neighboring communities are: Moniga del Garda , Polpenazze del Garda , Puegnago sul Garda , San Felice del Benaco , Soiano del Lago .

Since the early Middle Ages, Manerba del Garda was the location of a castle ( Rocca di Manerba ) directly above the lake, of which remains have been preserved. Manerba del Garda has belonged to the Republic of Venice since the 14th century .

Tourism is a major source of income for the place. Its sights include the remains of the castle, which is part of an archaeological nature park of 9 hectares, which also includes part of the lake shore, as well as the parish churches of the various districts. You can wade through the shallow water from the “Belvedere” headland to the islet “Isola San Biagio”.
