Sulzano is a northern Italian municipality ( comune ) with 1963 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019) in the province of Brescia in Lombardy . The municipality is located about 20 kilometers northwest of Brescia on Lake Iseo .

Sulzano was the starting point for Christo's The Floating Piers , a land art work of art that was shown on Lake Iseo from June 18 to July 3, 2016. The place was connected to the village of Peschiera Maraglio on the island of Monte Isola and the Isola di San Paolo with accessible, floating walkways covered with dahlia-yellow fabric . The work of art was freely accessible. The artist bore all costs from planning to the subsequent disposal of the materials.
