Maclodio is a northern Italian municipality ( comune ) with 1466 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019) in the province of Brescia in Lombardy . The municipality is located about 16 kilometers west-southwest of Brescia .

history

On October 12, 1427, the battle of Maclodio took place here between the troops of the Republic of Venice , commanded by Carmagnola , and the army of Duke Filippo Maria Visconti of Milan , commanded by Carlo Malatesta . The Venetian troops were victorious.
