Rovato is a northern Italian municipality ( comune ) with 19,421 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019) in the province of Brescia in Lombardy . The municipality is located about 18 kilometers west of Brescia and about 29 kilometers east-southeast of Bergamo .

The municipality is located in the Franciacorta wine-growing region at the foot of Monte Orfano .

The A4 autostrada runs through the town from Turin to Trieste . There is a motorway connection. Strada Statale 11 Padana Superiore runs south of the municipality . Rovato is connected to the rail network with three stations (Rovato from RFI , as well as Rovato Borgo and Rovato Città from FN ), which is served by trains on the Rovato – Bornato , Milan – Venezia and Bergamo – Brescia routes.
