Capo di Ponte (in the Camunian dialect Co de Pút ) is a municipality in the province of Brescia in Lombardy with 2441 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019).
The place is in the middle Valcamonica . The neighboring municipalities are Cedegolo , Ceto , Cimbergo , Ono San Pietro , Paisco Loveno , Paspardo and Sellero .
Culture
The Parco nazionale delle incisioni rupestri di Naquane , the Parco archeologico nazionale dei Massi di Cemmo and the Parco archeologico comunale di Seradina-Bedolina with prehistoric rock art , which are part of the UNESCO World Heritage, are located near the village .
The Pieve di San Siro, the oldest preserved church in Valcamonica, stands on a rocky promontory a little above Capo di Ponte (district of Cemmo). It dates from the 11th or 12th century.
