Kunszentmárton is a Hungarian city in the district of the same name in Jász-Nagykun-Szolnok county . The districts of Istvánháza and Kungyalu belong to the city .

The place and the surrounding area are known for thermal springs, wine and fruit growing.

Kunszentmárton extends over an area of 143.65 km². The city is located in the Észak-Alföld region (Northern Great Plain) 115 km southeast of Budapest . The Körös ( German Kreisch ) flows from northeast to south through the city.

Kunszentmárton received city rights in 1807.

About 8500 people live in the city. 99% of the population are Hungarian, while 1% say they belong to the Roma population group .

The main roads No. 44 and No. 45 run through Kunszentmárton, and the M44 motorway on the northern outskirts . There are rail connections to Szentes , Szolnok and Kiskunfélegyháza .
