Cserkeszőlő is a Hungarian community in the county Kunszentmárton in Jász-Nagykun-Szolnok .
The place is known for its thermal healing springs. There is also wine and fruit growing in the region.
geography
Cserkeszőlő extends over an area of 30.7 km². It is located in the Észak-Alföld (Northern Great Plain) region 113 km southeast of Budapest . The place has a hot thermal water deposit of 83 ° C, which was discovered in 1943 while exploring for oil.
history
Cserkeszőlő only became an independent settlement on January 1, 1952, until then it was a suburb of Tiszakürt .
