Kunszentmárton small area
The small area Kunszentmárton ( Hungarian Kunszentmártoni kistérség ) was a Hungarian administrative unit ( LAU 1) in the south of Jász-Nagykun-Szolnok county in the northern Great Plain until the end of 2012 . During the administrative reform of 2013, the area did not experience any changes, all 11 localities were taken over into the following district of Kunszentmárton (Hungarian Kunszentmártoni járás ).
At the end of 2012, 36,300 people lived in an area of 576.49 km². The population density of the second poorest small area was just below that of the county with 63 inhabitants / km².
The administrative seat was in the city Kunszentmárton (8,793 Ew.), But the largest city was Tiszaföldvár (11,227 Ew.). The two large communities of Cibakháza and Öcsöd had over 3,000 inhabitants. Together with the 7 municipalities (Hungarian község ) they had an average population of 1,809 (each 39.17 km² area).
