Mezőtúr small area

The small area Mezőtúr ( Hungarian Mezőtúri kistérség ) was a Hungarian administrative unit ( LAU 1) in the southeast of Jász-Nagykun-Szolnok County in the Northern Great Plain until the end of 2012 . During the administrative reform of 2013, the allocation of the localities did not change. All five localities were taken over in the following district Mezőtúr (Hungarian Mezőtúri járás ).

At the end of 2012, 27,798 people lived in an area of ​​725.74 km². The population density of the least populated small area was the lowest in the county with 38 inhabitants / km².

The administrative seat was in the city of Mezőtúr (17.111 Ew.). Túrkeve (8,869 Ew.) Also had city rights. The three communities (Hungarian község ) had a total of 1,818 inhabitants (606 inhabitants on 66.50 km² per community).
