Mezőtúr (Hungarian Mezőtúri járás ) is a district in the southeast of the central Hungarian county of Jász-Nagykun-Szolnok . It is bordered on the southwest by the county Kunszentmárton , the west by the county Szolnok , in the northwest of the county Törökszentmiklós and the north by the county Karcag . The Békés County forms the border in the southeast.

history

In the course of the Hungarian administrative reform in early 2013, the district emerged unchanged with all 5 municipalities as the successor to the small area of the same name (Hungarian Mezőtúri kistérség ).
