Törökszentmiklós (Hungarian Törökszentmiklósi járás ) is an inland district in the center of the central Hungarian Jász-Nagykun-Szolnok county . It borders in the west, starting clockwise, with the following districts: Szolnok , Kunhegyes , Karcag and Mezőtúr .

history

As part of the Hungarian administrative reform in early 2013, the district emerged as the successor to the small area of the same name (Hungarian Törökszentmiklósi kistérség ). At the same time, a municipality ( Tiszabő ) was given to the newly created Kunhegyes district in the north.
