Törökszentmiklós small area

The small area Törökszentmiklós ( Hungarian Törökszentmiklósi kistérség ) was a Hungarian administrative unit ( LAU 1) in the center of Jász-Nagykun-Szolnok county in the Northern Great Plain until the end of 2012 . At the beginning of 2013, in the course of the administrative reform, 8 localities were taken over into the successor district Törökszentmiklós (Hungarian Törökszentmiklósi járás ), the locality Tiszabő (2.095 Ew.) Was accepted into the newly created district Kunhegyes .

At the end of 2012, 38,837 people lived in an area of ​​499.58 km². The population density of the smallest small area was 78 above that of the county.

The administrative seat was in the only city Törökszentmiklós (21.098 Ew.). The only large municipality (Hungarian Nagyközség ) Fegyvernek (6,558) was the second largest town in the small area. This and the other 6 rural communities (villages, in Hungarian Község ) had an average population of 2,534 inhabitants (each 44.92 km² area).

The village of Szajol also belonged to the Törökszentmiklós small area until 2007, but was then assigned to the Szolnok small area .
