Kuncsorba is a Hungarian community in the district of Törökszentmiklós in Jász-Nagykun-Szolnok .
Geographical location
Kuncsorba is located in the northern Great Plain , 12.5 kilometers southeast of the district town of Törökszentmiklós and a good kilometer west of an arm of the Nagykunság Main Canal ( Nagykunsági Főcsatorna ). Neighboring communities are Örményes , Kétpó and Túrkeve .
history
In the 13th century, Cumans settled in the region, who received the land from King Béla IV as a gift, as evidenced by a document from 1261. The place was first mentioned in writing with the names Csorbajánosszállása and Csorbaszállás. In 1910 the then large community had 1,241 inhabitants, in 1930 the population was 1,364.
Infrastructure
In Kuncsorba there is a kindergarten, library, post office, general practitioner practice, two churches and the mayor's office. The place is traditionally characterized by agriculture with plant cultivation and animal husbandry.
