Small area of Szolnok

The small area Szolnok ( Hungarian Szolnoki kistérség ) was a Hungarian administrative unit ( LAU 1) in the west of Jász-Nagykun-Szolnok county in the Northern Great Plain until the end of 2012 . During the administrative reform of 2013, the allocation of the localities did not change. All 18 localities were taken over into the Szolnok district (Hungarian Szolnoki járás ).

At the end of 2012 there were 118,245 inhabitants in an area of 914.48 km². The population density of the second largest and most populous small area was with 129 inhabitants / km² almost twice as high as the county average.
