Martfű is a city in Hungary . Martfű lies in the Northern Great Plain on the eastern bank of the Tisza .
It is located in Jász-Nagykun-Szolnok county .
The city can be reached from the main road 442-es főút . Martfű station is on the Tiszatenyő – Kunszentmárton railway line . The thermal bath has had the status of a spa since 2003 . The medicinal water is particularly suitable for diseases of the locomotor organs, gynecological ailments, cardiovascular problems and certain skin changes.
A shoe factory (formerly Tisza , today Lorenz Shoe Group ), a brewery ( Heineken ) and an oil mill are located in Martfű.
