Jászberény small area
The small area Jászberény ( Hungarian: Jászberényi kistérség ) was a Hungarian administrative unit ( LAU 1) in the northwest of Jász-Nagykun-Szolnok County in the Northern Great Plain until the end of 2012 . As part of the administrative reform, it was divided into the successor district Jászberény (Hungarian Jászberényi járás ) with 9 villages and 50,928 inhabitants and the newly created district Jászapáti (Hungarian Jászapáti járás ) with 9 villages and 33,160 inhabitants.
At the end of 2012, 84,088 inhabitants lived in an area of 1161.46 km². The population density of the largest and second most populous small area in the county was 72, slightly higher than that of the county (69).
The administrative seat was in the city of Jászberény (26.809 Ew.). Jászapáti (8,879 Ew.), Jászárokszállás (7,910 Ew.), Jászfényszaru (5,664 Ew.) And Jászkisér (5,546 Ew.) Also had city rights. The only large municipality ( Jászladány ) had 5,642 inhabitants. This and the remaining 12 rural communities (villages, in Hungarian Nagyközség ) had an average of 3,353 inhabitants (each 44.50 km² area).
