The A1 Team China ( English stylization: A1Team.China ) was the Chinese national team in the A1GP series.
history
The A1 Team China was founded by Liu Yu ; The Belgian team Astromega has acted as racing team from the start .
In the first season , the team was one of the backbenchers. The first and at the same time only points of the season it was able to collect fifth place in the main race in Dubai with regular driver Tengyi Jiang at the wheel. The team finished the season in 22nd place with six points.
In the following season there was a clear increase. The team finished a total of nine races in the points, with Ho-Pin Tung's third place in the main race at Eastern Creek - the first ever podium - representing the best result. It ended the season in 15th place overall with 22 points.
The third season was the team's most successful. The highlight was a third place in front of a home crowd in the sprint race in Zhuhai by Cong Fu Cheng . A total of four fastest race laps underline the progress that the team had made. It ended the season in 13th place overall with 55 points.
In the fourth season , the team's performance curve was down again. Only three points results, achieved with Tung at the wheel, including eighth place in the Portimão main race as the best result, meant 18th place overall with seven points.
A1 Team China participated in all 39 race weekends of the A1GP series.

A1 Team China fielded six different drivers on race weekends, four of whom also took part in the races themselves. Lin Po-Heng was also used at the first official test at Silverstone in 2007 .
