The A1 Team Pakistan ( English stylization: A1Team.Pakistan ) was the Pakistani national team in the A1GP series.
history
The A1 Team Pakistan was founded by Arif Husain , who was replaced as Seatholder in the fourth season by Adam Khan; The racing team was the British team Super Nova Racing in the first season, the British team Performance Racing in the second and third seasons, followed by the British Teamcraft .
In the first season , the team was one of the backbenchers. It was able to score its first points in the first race, the sprint race at Brands Hatch , with Adam Khan in seventh place , but in the following period there were no further points. After regular driver Khan injured his back and left hand in an accident during the third training session of the race weekend in Durban , the team received the one-time permit to field Italian driver Enrico Toccacelo in the sprint and main races. This was not entitled to points in either race. The team did not compete on the following two race weekends in Sentul and Monterrey . In the last race of the season, the main race in Shanghai , the team was able to record its second point result and the best result of the season with a fifth place from Adam Khan. It ended the season in 20th place with ten points.
In the following season , the team with new regular driver Nur Ali was often not competitive. The best result and only place in the points was a tenth place in the main race in Durban. It ended the season with this one point in 22nd place overall.
Even in the third season , the team did not take a big step forward. The only point in the main race in Taupo was achieved by regular driver Adam Khan, which resulted in 20th overall position.
In the fourth season the team was officially listed, for example in the championship table, but did not appear on the track at any race weekend.
A1 Team Pakistan took part in 30 race weekends of the A1GP series.
