The A1 Team Lebanon ( English stylization: A1Team.Lebanon ) was the Lebanese national team in the A1GP series.
history
The team was founded by Tameem Auchi ; The British team Carlin Motorsport acted as racing team in the first two seasons and from then on the British team Argo Racing .
In the first season the team was one of the backbenchers, the best results were two eleventh places in the main race in Estoril by Basil Shaaban and in the main race in Shanghai by Graham Rahal . It ended the season in 24th place with no points.
In the following season there was no increase in performance, the team did not get past two twelfth places thanks to Graham Rahal at the race weekend in Brno . It ended the season in 23rd place overall with again zero points.
Even in the third season , the team could not make any significant progress; A 13th place each by Chris Alajajian in the main race in Zhuhai and by Khalil Beschir in the main race in Durban were the best results. As a result, the team again remained without points and ended the season in 23rd overall position.
The fourth season was the best of the team. With an eighth place in the main race in Zandvoort by Daniel Morad , the first points were finally achieved, followed by a second result with a sixth place in the Kyalami main race. The team finished the season in 17th place overall with eight points.
A1 Team Lebanon took part in all 39 race weekends of the A1GP series.
driver
A1 Team Lebanon fielded eight different drivers on race weekends, all of whom also took part in the races themselves. Many of the drivers used by Team Lebanon are citizens of another country (e.g. Graham Rahal is American , Daniel Morad is Canadian , Chris Alajajian is Australian and Allam Khodair is Brazilian ), but are allowed to join the team because of their parents 'or grandparents' origins go to the start.
