Marchy Lee Ying-Kin ( Chinese  李英健 ; born September 2, 1976 in Hong Kong ) is a Hong Kong- Chinese racing driver . He competes with a racing license from Hong Kong.

Career

Lee began his motorsport career in 1990 in karting , in which he was active until 1997. In 1998 he moved into the single-seater racing and was fourth in the French Formula Campus. Two years in the French Formula 3 championship followed . After finishing fifth in the B-Class in the first season, he finished the second season in ninth place overall. In 2001 Lee did not take part in any racing series and only took part in individual Formula 3 events. In 2002 Lee started in the Asian Formula 3 championship and in individual Formula 3 events. He was seventh at the Macau Grand Prix .

2003 Lee took part in four races of the Australian Formula 3 Championship and was eleventh in the overall standings with a pole position . He also made his debut for Team Meritus in the Asian Formula BMW , which he finished in ninth place, and took part in the Asian Porsche Carrera Cup . In 2004 he stayed with Team Meritus in the Asian Formula BMW. He won 12 of 14 races and became the dominant champion. He scored more than twice as many points as his team mate Mehdi Bennani , who was runner-up. He also took part in a race in the Asian Formula Renault Challenge and finished 24th overall. In 2005, Lee completed a Formula 1 test for Minardi .

After a one-year break from racing, Lee only took part in four races in the Asian Formula Renault V6 in 2006 and ended the season with a podium finish in ninth place overall. In 2007 Lee again took part in four races in the Asian Formula Renault V6. That season he won a race and finished twelfth in the drivers' championship. He also competed in the Asian Porsche Carrera Cup. There he won two races and finished the season in sixth place. In 2008, Lee finished fifth in the Asian Porsche Carrera Cup and ninth in the Speedcar Series . In 2009 he only drove in the Speedcar Series and finished twelfth. In 2010 Lee was runner-up in the Asian Porsche Carrera Cup behind Christian Menzel with two victories .

In 2011 Lee took part in the first three events of the World Touring Car Championship (WTCC) for Deteam KK Motorsport in a BMW 320 TC . With a 14th place as the best result, he remained without points.
